Jai Srimannarayana Bhagavad Bandhus !

Our mangalasasanams to you all my dear Bhagavad Bandhus (relatives). To day is the birthday of Maha Lakshmi. As you must be knowing that Mother—Divine, appeared from the Milk Ocean on this day, when the churning was in process by Devas and Asuras. All those poor creatures were anxious to possess her for their own sake, but She has chosen the divine Chest of Lord Maha Vishnu and made it Her permanent Abode.

Srirangam, a temple city in Tamil Nadu, where Lord Ranganatha is laying on the Serpant Bed, amidst 7 compound walls (pra:ka:ra:s) this deity is the worshipping deity of Lord Sri Rama Chandra, during His appearance days. Later Lord Sri Rama gave this deity to His devotee, Vibhishana, who was the King of Lanka. Vibhishana brought that deity with all love and placed in a small island, in between the canals of sacred River Kaveri. Later a beautiful temple was constructed with all facilities. That became the Centre for all Sri Vaishnavas as Sri Ramanuja Swamy stayed there all through his life.

Today, a wonderful and colourful function takes place in Divine Mothers place in that Temple. Only once in a year Lord Ranganatha goes to Mother Maha Lakshmi’s place. That is today. Because today is Her birthday. During the days of Acharya Ramanuja Swamy, when both the Divine Parents are together, Sri Ramanuja Swamy, offered a beautiful prayer of surrender ( Saranagathi Gadya) along with two more prayers. All these put together are called Gadya Thrayam. Many a devotee, today, visit that couple and pay their obeiscenses. That couple bless the world.

We are praying to that couple for you all. We are sure that your daily rituals and prayers are in progress and you are able to enjoy that company of the Lord with you every day.

Presently we are in Hyderabad, where a nice temple has been constructed in Asramam. Consecration celebrations will start from 29th of this April, till 10th of May. We are now looking after some arrangements for that.
